SCADs of Work
Well, I haven’t posted in a few days. Here’s an update for ya.
Summer classes started for me on this week. I am taking Programming Models and Shaders and Digital Lighting and Rendering. I’m having a whole lot of fun in both! The Shaders class is going to be more work, I think. Lighting has always been my strong suit in Maya, so it shouldn’t be a problem for me. Also, I’m currently teaching myself how to rig characters. It’s gotten a lot easier since I invested in CGProShop’s The Art of Rigging volumes 1 and 2. It’s probably the best tutorial series I’ve ever purchased. Outside of The Gnomon Workshop, of course.
Speaking of Gnomon, I just found out about a new promotion they are involved in. Dubbed Gnomonology, they’re supporting a database of various tutorials from their DVDs which are downloadable from their site. To be honest, I was happily surprised that Gnomon has decided to “do the iTunes thing.” Anyway, check it out here.
